An Active Parent's Voice at the Table
Serving on a school board takes real commitment, and I'm grateful to everyone who has given their time. I'm running to add a fresh parent perspective.
for Butler Board of Education
A parent's voice for our kids
Hello, neighbors! My name is Roberto DiMeo, though most people around town just call me Rob. Over a decade ago, my wife and I moved to Butler, not fully realizing the impact this town would have on us. Another parent put it best: “Butler may be a small town, but it has a big heart.” It's that small-town spirit that fosters excellence in our kids, helping them excel in academics and sports, and grow into kind, confident individuals. I see it every day with my daughter. And that's why I'm running for the Board of Education.
Some of you may know me as "that Butler Dads guy." You might also have seen me volunteering at PTA events, or watched the Butler's Historical Journey video I created with our museum this past June for Butler's 125th and America's 250th anniversaries. Working on that project, and serving on the Butler Museum Committee, reminded me how many neighbors over the years have given their time to make this town what it is.
Professionally, I help lead a global team for a financial technology organization, where I manage systems and documentation that create clear paths for communication so complex information is easy to understand. I'm also a local realtor, so I see firsthand how much our schools mean to families choosing to make Butler home.

A strong education is a partnership between home and school. When families are engaged, we can better support our teachers in the classroom, giving them the tools, respect, and backing they need so every child in Butler can thrive academically, athletically, and personally.
Busy families deserve plain-English updates on board decisions, policies, and the district audit so it's easy to follow how our schools are run. With rising costs, I will weigh every budget and tax decision carefully against its impact on Butler families and the value it brings to our kids.
Our community is strongest when families stay informed and involved. Below are the next 3 upcoming public Board of Education meetings at the Butler High School Media Center (meetings automatically update as each date passes).
Monthly public Board of Education regular session following the November election. Open to all Butler parents, taxpayers, and community members.
Final regular Board of Education meeting of the 2026 calendar year. Includes year-end district updates and public comment.
Swearing-in of newly elected Board of Education members, board reorganization, and adoption of the 2027 regular meeting calendar.
